An older titanium dioxide plant chose to replace their cable trays and wiring – in conjunction with their DCS migration. Using several teams to perform prep work in the different plant areas allowed them to capitalize on unplanned outages. They also assigned specialized teams during tie-in for valves, motors, and instrumentation – along with a backup team for general work. This concept worked well on shutdown days by maximizing worker proficiency. “
