Asphalt Emulsion Station

Custom Asphalt Emulsion Solutions

Asphalt sealant manufacturing plants require that emulsions be produced by suspending minute globules of bituminous material in water or in an aqueous solution. The emulsion needs to be prepared by adding the asphalt, water, and emulsifier in the correct percentages and processing the mixture so that the finished product has a consistent nature to produce quality sealants for finishing, repairing or maintaining paved surfaces.

Cross engineering has developed an emulsion system which utilizes the Cross Batch Wizard to automatically and accurately perform this process. The emulsifier is prepared and automatically dispensed into the other ingredient lines (tar, asphalt etc.) according to user defined mix percentages. End-product consistency is therefore maintained from batch to batch.

The Importance of Reliable Emulsion Stations

Asphalt sealant manufacturing plants bond together asphalt, coal tar, and other aggregates utilizing an emulsifier. It is critical that the emulsifier is prepared and added to the other ingredients in the correct percentage so that the finished mix has a consistent, malleable nature. This enables the manufacturers to produce quality sealants for finishing, repairing, and maintaining road and parking surfaces.

Cross Company asphalt emulsion stations integrate various automation technologies and processes to ensure efficient and consistent production of asphalt emulsions. Through the centralization of the emulsion production process, our emulsion stations are able to provide reliable and high-quality emulsions. This contributes significantly to the durability and overall success of road construction projects.

If you work in road construction or have significant need for asphalt emulsion, the Cross Company asphalt emulsion station can provide tangible value to your operation.

Benefits of Cross Asphalt Emulsion Stations

There are many benefits to utilizing the Cross automated emulsion station for your road construction or asphalt emulsion application. Some of these benefits include

Consistent Quality

Cross asphalt emulsion stations are able to employ automated processes that ensure consistency and quality production. Through automated controls, we can regulate factors like emulsion composition, component distribution, and other critical parameters. This consistency results in better performance and higher road surface durability.

Efficient Production

Using automation in the asphalt emulsion production process can also improve your production efficiency overall. Automation can be used to streamline emulsion production while also reducing manual labor and minimizing potential downtime. This translates to quicker production cycles which helps operations meet tight deadlines and schedules.

Cost Savings

Through using asphalt emulsion stations, operations can save significantly on road construction projects. By reducing energy consumption during emulsion production, operational costs can also be reduced. Further, improved durability of emulsions can also contribute to reduced maintenance needs, which also result in long-term cost savings.

Automate Emulsion Processes With Cross

With a focus on both innovation and cutting-edge automation technologies, Cross Company’s asphalt emulsion station is designed to meet the specific needs of the road construction industry. We do this by providing our customers with tangible benefits for their manufacturing operations, including

Automated Process Control – Automated emulsion stations utilize advanced process control systems to reliable monitor and control key parameters like temperature, pressure, and emulsion composition. Through this monitoring, emulsion production quality and consistency can be monitored to ensure standards are met.

Data Logging – Through data-capturing automation, emulsion stations are able to collect real-time production data as well as performance metrics. This data can then be used for quality control, process optimization, and predictive maintenance. Which in turn allows for ongoing process improvement and increased process efficiency.

Safety and Compliance – At Cross, we always prioritize safety and industry standards in our designs. We’re able to offer safety features like emergency stops, safety interlocks, and alarms. These are designed to create a safe and compliant work environment for operators.
