Radius gages are frequently used in machine shops and other production environments to make quick checks in process. As physical comparison checks repeatedly wear on radius gages, they can become out of tolerance and cause problems down the line due to inaccurate references.
Even though, full radius gage sets may have gage sizes with sporadic or no use, it’s always important to verify the entire set is within any required tolerances. In addition, as most individual radius gages, have multiple radii, both the concave and convex radii on each can be worn differently and should all be checked during calibration.
J.A. King offers ISO 17025 calibration of radius gages up to two inches. Our state of the art optical equipment allows us to verify whether or not your radius gages are within the manufacturers tolerance, and even give you as found readings, so you know what they measure.
