pH and Conductivity Meter Calibration

pH and Meter Calibration Services

Regular calibration of your pH and conductivity metering equipment is critical to ensuring your process is being monitored and controlled accurately. Cross, the precision measurement group of Cross Company, has over eighty years of expertise in calibration to help ensure your equipment is performing at its best!

Laboratory pH and conductivity meters are used in a range of applications to measure characteristics of solutions or substances such as water and other liquids. The pH scale measures acidity or alkalinity in a substance and ranges from 1 (acidic) to 14 (basic), while conductivity is the measure of which a substance is able to conduct electricity and is reported in siemens per meter or S/m.

Both pH and conductivity are important characteristics of solutions throughout the industrial world. With strict requirements from regulating bodies such as the FDA, operations throughout the life sciences, food and beverage industries need to keep a close eye on ingredients. In other industries such as manufacturing, pH and conductivity meters play an important role in monitoring processing equipment such as plating and cleansing baths.

Inspection and Calibration for Conductivity and pH Meters

Our precision measurement group offers ISO 17025 accredited pH and conductivity meter calibration with NIST traceable master testing standards. These standards include certified pH and conductivity solution, pH meters, and conductivity meter. Our calibration procedures require our experienced technicians to take multiple test points across the full range of the device, at intervals based on type of equipment, by direct comparison to our master standards. This data is then stored for easy 24/7 access within GageSuite®, our cloud based calibration management system.

If you have a large number of pH and conductivity devices, it may be cost effective to consider a service contract. Substance and Flow Measurement Equipment

Substance and flow measurement equipment need to be working at peak performance in order to meet a variety of regulatory requirements, keep productivity high, and maintain profitability. In fact, incorrectly reading flow measurement devices can (and do) cause major problems in both the short and long term for operations that rely on accurate flow readings or substance measurement. Whether you’re in municipal services, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing, if you regularly utilize substance and flow measurement equipment, it will require regular calibration.

At Cross Precision Measurement, our full-service, ISO 17025 accredited local calibration labs and on-site calibration techs use NIST traceable equipment. Meaning we’re able to calibrate your substance and flow measurement devices or instrumentation with traceable and reliable accuracy. From air samplers to flow meters to pipettes, our lab calibration services for flow measurement assure your industrial tools, equipment, or instrumentation is calibrated to recognized standards.

Whenever we perform calibration services for flow instruments, we also always provide extensive documentation of the calibration procedure, how we found the device, how we left the device, and provide recommendations for when the device would be up for recalibration. That way all of our clients have the documentation they need for a calibration audit, internal quality check, or inspection from a regulatory body.

Cross specializes in a wide range of calibration services for substance and flow devices. We’ve worked with countless forms of flow equipment and our technicians have the knowledge and experience to bring our customers the world-class precision measurement services they deserve.

Did you know… Cross Company is an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). Our ESOP started in 1979 and as of 2006, we are 100% employee-owned! Learn more about our ESOP and how that benefits both team members and our customers.
Did you know... the precision measurement group at Cross was founded in 1939 by our current CEO's grandfather, Jim King. That's a whole lot of calibration!
Did you know... A fingerprint weighs about 50 micrograms. We know, we weighed it! The residue left from a finger can actually make a difference in weight results which is why we wear gloves when we calibrate weights. For reference, a sheet of paper is about 4.5 grams, that’s 4.5 million micrograms.
Did you know… Cross Company has grown significantly since our start in 1954. Over the years we've acquired 26 companies! Today, our five groups have expertise in everything from industrial automation to precision measurement, and industry knowledge going all the way back to 1939.
