On-off valves are in direct contact with the process and have to withstand demanding applications, sometimes in challenging ambient conditions, or with harsh process fluids. On-off valves in certain applications work very hard and are cycled on-off frequently, causing more wear and tear on both valve and actuator parts.
Cross Company offers a large portfolio of valve products, working with a wide range of industries including chemical, power generation, pulp & paper and water/waste water treatment. Cross Company has the applications experience and customization capabilities to find the optimum solution for your valve automation needs.
Metal Seated Ball Valves
Metal seated flanged ball valves can withstand extreme service conditions, including high temperature, flashing and corrosive process fluied. They’re particularly designed to fulfill the requirements of chemical, petrochemical and refining industries. The shaft/ball connection enables them to be used in the most demanding high-cycling applications while also assuring tight shut-off even with the lowest pressure differentials.
Soft Seated Ball Valves
Soft seated ball valves feature superior sealing performance, often achieving no leak whatsoever. However, they are not recommended for use with abrasive or dirty media. Soft seated ball valves are used in industries ranging from chemical and petrochemical to refining, pulp and paper, and power.
Butterfly Valves
Butterfly valves can be used as on/off valves or can be throttled. They are smaller and lighter than ball valves and can open and close very quickly. They are also reliable and don’t need much maintenance. Butterfly valves come in three types of design: concentric or zero offset, double offset and triple offset, depending on the type and pressure of the application.
