Weight and Scale Calibration Services

Scales are everywhere in a process facility and regular calibration of them is critical to ensuring they are measuring accurately.  J.A. King, the precision measurement group of Cross Company, has over eighty years of expertise in calibration to help ensure your scales of any size are performing at their best!

Services

We can provide ISO-17025 accredited and NIST traceable calibration of any size scale, from the most precise balance to large rail scales and hoppers. Equipment we calibrate includes:

  • Balances
  • Checkweighers
  • Tanks and hoppers
  • Floor scales
  • Bench scales and more!

Calibration is available in one of our sixteen ISO-accredited labs or at your location, whichever best fits your quality system and operation.  In need of a new scale or want to make sure you have the right scale or load cells for your operation?  Check out our article Finding the Right Scale for your Operation.

In addition to scales, most process facilities have weights to perform regular verification of their scales.  However, you need to routinely check to make sure that your weights are also measuring correctly, as they can lose weight over time or with improper handling.  (For more information on the care of test weights, see our article Proper Storage and Handling of Test Weights.)

For test weights, we can offer NIST or ASTM traceable calibration from 1mg to 70lb and for weights that are class 1 to 7 and class F.
