Anemometer Calibration

Anemometers are measurement devices used to determine velocity or wind speed. Types range from traditional cup anemometers and vane anemometers which act like fans or wind mills, to ultrasonic and acoustic resonance anemometers which take measurements based on indirect characteristics such as sound or vibrations.

The precision measurement group at Cross offers ISO 17025 accredited anemometer calibration by comparison against NIST traceable standards such as master anemometers and wind tunnels. In accordance with our anemometer calibration procedure, our technicians take readings at multiple test points across the range of the device. This data is then stored for easy 24/7 access within GageSuite®, our cloud based calibration management system.
