Test Sieve Calibration
Test sieves are an important aspect of material inspection and come in a variety of configurations for different materials. Many models comprise of a round metal frame (usually stainless steel or brass) which houses a mesh wire woven screen with known wire and opening sizing. ASTM and ISO specifications require test sieves to meet certain standards in order to qualify for certification, and sieve calibration can ensure they maintain compliance after continuous use.
Cross offers NIST traceable test sieve calibration with certified master testing standards such as vision inspection systems and pin gauges. Our sieve calibration procedure follows ASTM and ISO requirements taking dimensions of wire sizes and hole sizes throughout required areas. This measurement data is then stored for easy 24/7 access within GageSuite®, our cloud based calibration management system.
