Depth Gauge Calibration

Depth gages are a common precision measurement hand tool used in quality laboratories or production operations to find a quick measurement of the depth or indentation of a bore or with a bottom point as reference.

Multiple types of depth gauges are common, including depth gauges which use digital or dial indicators as their main source of reference, Vernier scale depth gauges, and depth micrometers which use a micrometer function for measurement reference.

Whichever type of depth gauges are used in your operation, it’s important to have them calibrated on a frequency of use basis. J.A. King offers ISO 17025 and NIST traceable calibration on all types of depth gauges so you can be sure your equipment is within tolerance.

Our depth gauge calibration procedures include measurements at multiple check points, typically based on the upper limit of instrument (or user specifications) with NIST traceable master standard equipment such as surface plates and gage blocks.
