Vortex Flow Meters from Azbil
Vortex flow meters are able to consistently measure fluid velocity through vortices generated in a repeating pattern when flow passes over an obstruction in the flow path. The vortex meter creates that obstruction (the bluff body) and uses it to accurately calculate the volumetric flow rate. In the azbil brand vortex flowmeters, a sensitive piezoelectric crystal sensor detects these vortices. This provides repeatable and accurate readings, making the azbil brand vortex flow meter a reliable source for flow rate measurement.
Through optional integrated temperature and pressure sensors, these vortex flow meters are also able to provide a compensated mass flow rate. With energy monitoring available, these meters are also able to provide energy measurement of water, thermal oils, and steam (BTU).
