The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) of 2011 brought many changes to the pet food industry.  For the first time, pet food manufacturers were held to the same safety and hygiene standards as makers of food for humans were.  In this article from Cross’s vendor partner Rice Lake, they discuss how their sanitary scales are designed to comply with FSMA.
