Have you properly tested your product?

As a medical device manufacturer, you want to make sure that your product will hold up in the real-world. For you, product failure isn’t an option. In some cases, it can mean life or death for your end user so proper testing is critical.

Cross Company’s Testing Division already offers a wide variety of environmental and vibration testing services to help medical device manufacturers. However, we recently added a number of new capabilities. New services include: X-ray, CT Scanning, IP code testing, and more! Click below to learn about our testing capabilities.

Innovating the Industrial World

Finding reliable workers to handle the dull, dirty, and dangerous tasks in your plant can be difficult. Whether you need someone to pick and place items from one conveyor to another or need help palletizing at the end of your line, cobots might be a great solution. However, there are a number of complexities to implementing cobots in your manufacturing environment.

Check out this episode of Cross’s podcast, Innovating the Industrial World. Our host and CEO John King sits down with Manan Banerjee and Mike Holland from our Automation Group to discuss the reasons companies big and small are using collaborative robots to automate manual processes. Learn about the ins and outs from engineers themselves to decide if a cobot is right for you.

Reduce Risk

When you manufacture small parts, there is always a risk of sending too many or too few components. Whether it’s drill bits, small tubes, or other medical device components, counting small pieces by hand is not very reliable.

Counting scales are a great solution for this, as you can calculate part weight and simply place your parts on the scale to make sure you have the right amount

To take it a step further, we can even help create custom weighing solutions that will check for multiple parts in a kit and require barcode scanning to ensure everything is included–greatly reducing your risk of sending out incomplete kits.

Improve Efficiency

When you’re designing a machine, you know that it needs to perform a particular function.  But what if accomplishing that task requires two, three, four or even more parts?

Cross Company can help by working with you to specify the needed parts, even across multiple vendors, and assembling it for you.  When your custom solution arrives, it feels like just one part and is easily dropped into your process or machine.

This saves you significant time in sourcing materials while also making the assembly of your medical device easier.
