Fairbanks PALS Matrix Series Portable Axle Load Scales

Fairbanks Logo

Product Overview

Fairbanks offers a convenient, cost-effective option for commercial or non-commercial vehicle weighing with its popular Portable Axle Load Scale. The PALS arrives from their factory pre-calibrated and ready to place into service as a single, non-commercial, axle weighing device. Fairbanks offers numerous options and accessories to complete your axle weighing system, such as ramps, indicators, traffic lights, remote displays, and more. If legal-for-trade gross weights are desired, multiple PALS modules can be configured into a full-length NTEP approved Matrix Truck Scale. The Matrix can accommodate most highway vehicles by conjoining two or more PALS modules with Fairbanks precast, steel-framed concrete dead-spans – creating the ideal scale design for the type of trucks that frequent your operation.

The precision measurement group at Cross Company has been working with truck scales in a range of applications since 1939. We have sales territories and local calibration laboratories across the U.S. so you can work with our local teams all the way through the process, from sale to your annual service. This ensures you not only get the right product, but maintain quality year after year. Contact our team to see if a Fairbanks  portable axle load scale is the best truck scale for your operation.

Features and Benefits

Eliminating the Foundation – Fairbanks’ PALS is constructed in a sub-frame that totally eliminates the need for a pier or slab foundation. A flat, unyielding surface, such as asphalt or concrete, is all that’s required to install the complete unit. By eliminating the foundation, both installation and relocation of this scale are a snap, requiring minimal time, effort and money.

Structural Steel Construction – The Portable Axle Load Scale is fabricated out of USA extruded structural steel members. Scale ramps are constructed to the same standards as the weighbridge to ensure the quality that Fairbanks’ customers demand. Ramps come standard in a full-width design that accommodates any wheel base for most highway vehicles.

Load Cells – The PALS is equipped with four 50,000 lb capacity stainless steel load cells designed to handle extra-heavy loads. These cells are property aligned through factory installation, eliminating potential weighing errors.
