Mechanical pH Pencils (KCT-3130)

Insta-Check 0-13 Mechanical pH Pencils measure  the pH of any surface to the nearest full pH value. The Hydrion pH pencil can be used to test irregular or uneven surfaces, and is also effective on porous material and impervious solids. It offers clear bright single color matches at every 1.0 interval from pH 0.0-13.0.

The pH pencil is used to detect acid or alkali residues and may be used to measure the pH of any of the following:

  • Lumber
  • Concrete
  • Cement
  • Plasterboard
  • Pre-painted surfaces
  • Painted surfaces
  • Textiles
  • Leather/Skins
  • Ceramics

Instructions

To measure the surface pH just wet the surface with distilled water. Stroke the surface with pencil. Wait approximately 15 seconds and compare the resulting color change with the color chart. Each package contains 3 mechanical pencils and 3 color charts. Each pencil will provide the user 100 tests.
