We are excited to announce the introduction of Bodine’s new stainless steel, IP69k gearmotors, the  56R1-50JW/H. Their variable-speed 230/460VAC, 1/2 HP, inverter-duty windings are compatible with a wide range of inverter (VFD) products. The gearmotors deliver continuous duty torque of up to 638 lb-in (72 Nm) and speed from 29 – 176 rpm. Six gear ratios are available (10:1 to 60:1). They are ideal for food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other wet environment applications,  feature corrosion resistant stainless-steel housings and are fully watertight.

Standard features include:

  • Totally Enclosed IP-69K rating. Meets EU Hygienic standard for food machinery.
  • Stainless Steel construction throughout. Sealed against water and dust ingress.
  • 230/460VAC, 1/2 HP inverter-duty, 3-phase winding
  • Large water tight terminal box in 12 o’clock position for easy access.
  • Gearmotors mount via face or base of gearhead. Optional mounting accessories available.
  • Food grade lubricant
  • The gearmotors are compatible with a wide selection of AC speed controls (VFDs). Make sure to use an appropriate control enclosure for your application.
  • The terminal box can be rotated by rotating the motor in 90-degree increments.
