Safety Integrity Level

Supplier-Partner Metso has certified several of its Neles flow control products to help end-users in the process industry comply with tech standard IEC 61511 (Safety Instrumented Systems – SIS).

Vice President of Energy & Hydrocarbon Sales and Marketing, Tim Torvinen, states: “In recent years, our customers, particularly in the energy and hydrocarbon industry, have been looking for standardized best-in-class valve and controller technologies that can be applied systematically both in process control and safety applications.”  Third party certificates are in accordance with the newest version of IEC 61508. Metso control and automated on-off valves provide complete solutions from a single source supplier and are tested as an assembly to assure compatibility of crucial safety loop components.

Durable

The PAS Lite is made of durable components that you can count on…strong, durable harness materials and carbon composite space frame and the same pneumatics as found in professional fire fighting breathing apparatus ensure the workers can count on it when they need it. The PAS Lite harness scored 5 times higher than standard harness materials on the Martindale test for durability.

Improved Comfort

Draeger utilized state-of-the-art pressure mapping technology to improve stability and reduce back strain, stress and fatigues, as well as using a carbon composite space frame and non-metallic buckles to decrease the weight the wearer must carry.  The PAS Lite is more than a pound lighter than its predecessor, the Draeger ProAir Evolution.

Minimized Cost of Ownership

With no electronics, durable space frame and harness and the time you save maintaining your PAS Lite, the cost of keeping the apparatus functioning throughout its lifetime is minimal.
