Draeger PAC 3500: Strong and Versatile Personal Portable Gas Detector

The old saying, “live hard, die young,” aptly describes one of Dräger’s newest personal gas monitors, the Dräger Pac 3500. Small and tough, thanks to a protective rubber sleeve, the Pac 3500 has a shelf-life of two years. But it can do a lot in that span of time.

The monitor’s design allows gases—oxygen, hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide—to enter its sensor from several directions. You’re likely to get a more comprehensive measurement than you would with a monitor having only one entryway, which could accidentally become blocked. Once the gases reach the sensor, they give quick and accurate readings. For hydrogen sulfide, the device gives readings with one decimal point—great for low warning thresholds and reduced limit values.

When there is a hazard, the Pac 3500 will let you know with visual, audio and vibrating alarms. The Pac 3500 operates on minimal battery power; its batteries and filter can be replaced, its sensor lasts for its entire two-year lifespan.
