Nabtesco’s RD2 series is already established in the market as a high quality and precise line of gearboxes. They are both cost effective and easy to use. With a wide range of sizes and three input styles that are available with hollow or solid output shaft choices, there is a solution for most applications. To supplement their RD2 line, Nabtesco has combined their established technology with a high ratio solution to create the new RD2-320C size gearhead with a 365.5:1 ratio.
This high ratio gearbox helps to solve the problems caused by high interia ratio including difficulty controlling the load leading positioning errors and extended index and cycle times. By lowering the inertia ratio between the gearhead and the motor you are able to use smaller motors to drive larger loads. As industrial automation moves towards more compact and cost effective solutions, the new RD2 high ratio gearbox allows you to meet those requirements while still maintaining a smooth motion profile.
