Introducing Draeger’s New CPS 7900 Chemical Protective Suit

Do you work in extreme conditions that demand a chemical protective suit?  Draeger’s new gas-tight CPS 7900 chemical suit provides excellent protection against industrial chemicals, biological agents, warfare agents, toxic substances, plus it works well in explosive settings & handling of cryogenic materials.

The CPS 7900 meets the most recent NFPA 1991 standard as well as requirements for various organizations.  Benefits include:

  • wide field of view
  • high puncture resistance
  • 15 year shelf life
  • low cost of ownership
  • comfortable

Constructed of D-mex ™

  • 5 layers including elastomer layer (resists puncture), barrier layer (resists chemical inside & outside the suit), middle layer of durable tear-proof textile
  • full protective capacity is retained even when the outside material is damaged
  • flame retardant and self extinguishing
  • electrostatic resistance allows use in explosive settings
  • flexibility enables handling of liquefied gases such as ammonia at contact temps of -80 degree C (-112 degree F)

Continuous Flow of Breathing & Cooing Air

Oftentimes the amount of air available in a compressed air breathing apparatus is insufficient.  There is an air-connect port & control valve used to connect to an external source of breathing air.  Plus inside the suit, the compressed air breathing apparatus is connected to the air-connect port via an automatic switchover valve or Y adapter. When the external air source is connected and pressure achieved, breathing air is supplied by an external source.  Should the external source fail, breathing air is provided by the internal compressed air breathing apparatus.
