Rachel's Story:

Rachel started her career at Cross in the precision measurement group (then J.A. King) in 2011 in Greenville, SC. Beginning as an account manager, Rachel enjoyed the role because it gave her the opportunity to visit a wide variety of manufacturing facilities. Each day was different, challenging and fun. After the birth of her second child, she wanted to spend more time at home, so she moved into a part-time service coordinator position. It was a great solution, allowing her to spend more time with her family at home but still be part of her work family, the Greenville calibration lab.

In 2014, Rachel came back to work full time as the Marketing Manager. This was a new challenge and included projects like rebranding and launching a new website. However, she missed the customer side of things so in 2016, she moved into an Industry Business Manager role. This was a mix of sales and marketing duties and enabled her to work with every branch in the company. Rachel said, “I enjoyed being involved in helping the organization grow and add new capabilities such as gas detector calibration and on-site inspection.”

In 2019 Rachel became Regional Director of Sales for Cross Precision Measurement, leading a team of 11 sales representatives in the Carolinas and Oklahoma. She said, “I love helping my team succeed and being more involved with the product sales side of the business. I’m thankful for the opportunities Cross has provided me to grow in my career. I appreciate the commitment to work-life balance at Cross that allows me to have a fulfilling profession while also being the best wife and mother I can be!”

In 2022 Rachel was promoted to the Director of Sales for our Automation group and led sales for our Innovation Team until December 2024. Then, after retirement of our previous group president, Lynn Crump, Rachel was promoted to our group president role and now leads our Automation group!
