Jose Monge of Cross Company Hose & Fittings (CCH&F) in Durham is the type of individual everyone should be lucky enough to meet when they need to get something done. It was Friday afternoon and my weekend project was dead in the water because I needed a very obscure hose and fittings to fix my skid steer. The quickest one I could find involved a five day wait. On a long shot I called CCH&F and Mr. Monge answered the phone, “No problem – I can make one while you wait.” How long are you open? “We close in 20 minutes, but if I know you’re coming, I’ll wait.” Thanks to this gentleman, I was able to get my machine up and running, got all my hedge trees planted on Saturday and they will now get a jumpstart from all the rain forecast during the next ten days. ...and, as an added bonus, my wife is happy! Fast, friendly and a total subject matter expert, this world desperately needs more Mr. Monges - thank you!

I switched to Cross company from my former Parker supplier about five years ago and never looked back! Cross, specifically John L., does whatever it takes to keep my company up and running. It’s more than just a transaction to him, and that’s hard to find these days!!

Very friendly, knowledgeable people, and they seem to have about everything one could possibly need in terms of hydraulic hoses and fittings. They had the fittings I needed for my tractor to change from pioneer to flat-faced connectors.

Update 10-14-2024
I went in again for a hydraulic hose for my tractor. Kevin and John helped me out. Same excellent 5-star service as last visit. They are friendly, knowledgeable and QUICK!

I blew the end off of a hydraulic hose and walked in the store. They were able to repair and get me back to work in less than 10 minutes! Very affordable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was impressed with their inventory and will definitely return next time I need help with any hoses or fittings! 10 out of 10 service and value!

I needed a specialty valve for a water tank, so I stopped in on my lunch break to pick one up. They have a huge selections of fittings (and hoses), but the guys working found exactly what I needed and I was on my way in a matter of minutes! They were very nice, and were clearly knowledgeable. Pricing was also very reasonable! I just finished installing the valve and have no leaks! I’ll definitely be going back when I have some extra time, because they have a bunch of cool stuff that I haven’t seen anywhere else.
