Product Spotlight: Valvcon ADC-Series

Reliable Quarter-Turn Automation for Heavy-Duty Process Applications

Product Spotlight: Valvcon ADC-Series 1Cross partner, Valvcon, part of Valmet Flow Control, offers the Valvcon ADC-Series continuous duty electric actuator for automated quarter-turn control of valves and dampers across standard and heavy-duty process applications. Driven by a brushless DC motor, the actuator operates at a 100% continuous duty cycle (up to 40°C / 104°F) without thermal overload during high-frequency cycling or modulating service. Torque outputs span from 150 to 3,000 lb-in across the standard ADC and LADC configurations, serving a range of process control requirements.
The series integrates multiple power inputs (115/230 VAC, 24 VAC, and 12/24 VDC) and supports On/Off or modulating control in a unified housing. Designed for ambient conditions between -40°F and +150°F (-40°C to +66°C), the platform offers NEMA 4/4X (weathertight) and NEMA 4/4X/7&9 (explosionproof) enclosure options with CSA, CE, ATEX, and IECEx certifications. Optional internal battery systems provide fail-safe positioning during power failure, while standard internal heaters, thermal overload protection, and manual overrides support steady operation.
