Collision avoidance and vision when speaking about mobile machines can be a very complex subject. For mobile machinery OEM’s, the decision on what level of autonomy is right for your machine, and your markets can be a difficult decision. A simple 2D analog camera that provides visual feedback may be all that is needed. A complex system of cameras and other sensors might be needed for autonomous machine functions such as automated breaking or speed control. Perhaps both solutions are right for you based on market drivers for different machines and/or different markets.
