Cross Announces Expansion to Vibration Testing Capabilities

Cross Announces Expansion to Vibration Testing Capabilities 1

Cross Testing is excited to announce added vibration capabilities. Now in addition to running standard vibration and shock testing, including sinusoidal vibration, random vibration testing, and various types of shock pulses, our team can create completely custom tests. In these situations, we can create specialized tests that mimic real-world situations and are specific to your application.

This is accomplished by mounting accelerometers on your product in the field and recording the vibrations it experiences during normal use. This data can then be used to create a custom vibration profile that will put your part through a realistic simulation. We do this because once the product is out of the production or testing environment, it will encounter stressors. Creating a custom profile based on real world conditions helps to ensure that your part will stand up what it experiences in the field.
