Cross Process Solutions Helps Paper Mill Reduce Risk with Draeger Gas Detectors

A Virginia paper mill was struggling with their chlorine dioxide fixed gas monitors. The devices were regularly breaking down and the maintenance team at the facility was, in turn, having to dedicate significant time to repairing the gas detectors. In addition to taking significant time away from other projects at the facility, the failing detectors were putting the workers at risk of exposure to dangerous fumes in the air.

When the team at the facility reached out to Draeger for more information on their gas detectors, they were put in contact with Todd on the Cross Process Solutions team. Todd took a unit to their facility and demonstrated it to their maintenance team. After the demo they wanted to test it out in their facility. After a 60 day test run, the team was sold and wanted to move forward with replacing their monitors.

To help the team sell the new monitors to management, Todd put together an ROI for the replacement of the failing monitors. Using data provided by the customer, Cross was able to estimate that the customer would be able to see an ROI in just over one year.
