The HPX is designed for a long and reliable service life, even at the high operating-to-burst pressure ratios of today’s process industries. Advanced tooling processes and optimal material thickness ensure full openings and accurate burst ratings for a perfect rupture every time.
A tantalum, semicircular scored, reverse-acting rupture disc designed for use with highly corrosive media.
Recommended for applications involving bromine, chlorine, HCL, nitric acid, sulfuric acid or other media in corrosive concentrations, temperatures and moisture conditions, HPX-Ta is manufactured from highly corrosion-resistant tantalum. HPX holders can also be enhanced with a tantalum lining or coating of components.

Optimize flow, secure seals, ensure proper disc orientation and prevent disc fragmentation with an HPX-PT pre-torqued holder. The HPX-PT holder allows the disc to be correctly fitted in the workshop using recommended torque levels prior to installation of the complete assembly between the flanges in the process system relief stream.
