HPX Rupture Disc Family

Continental Disk Logo

Overview

Performance in excess of 5 million cycles at 95% burst pressure. Built on years of research and development, the reverse acting HPX high-precision pressure relief devices reliably protect personnel, equipment and the environment. Conceived, engineered and manufactured to fit nearly any overpressure protection application in any industry, HPX rupture discs help you reduce downtime, lower maintenance costs and increase facility productivity.

High-performance operating capabilities, a wide range of burst ratings and durable materials make HPX rupture discs ideal for facilities where operating conditions and media change frequently – batch processing runs and similar operations. Additionally, the versatility of the HPX Family makes future modifications easier to incorporate in change-control procedures, no piping modifications necessary.

The Continental Disc IntegrX-HPX™ rupture disc addresses the need within the biopharmaceutical industry to improve process performance, reliability, and safety. The pioneering and innovative IntegrX-HPX™ combines the unrivaled performance of the legendary HPX with ASME BPE compliant crevice-free inlet design, removing the need for integral seals.

Traditional sanitary rupture disc designs limit access to the full spectrum of benefits delivered by HPX technology. The new IntegrX-HPX™ is a semi-circular, scored, reverse-acting rupture disc, perfectly suited for cyclic process conditions from full vacuum to 95% of the stamped rating. Its welded design mitigates the impact of downstream piping loads on the rupture disc burst pressure and overall performance. Continental Disc incorporated an external tag, aiding installation and providing clearly visible identification in the field and easy access to marked data.

IntegrX-HPX™ rupture disc offers a unique opportunity to boost efficiency, safety, and keep cost down by utilizing legendary HPX service life. The bold new design reduces maintenance, minimizes the chance of installation damage, and allows you to control the source and type of seal material without affecting rupture disc performance.

Did you know... the precision measurement group at Cross was founded in 1939 by our current CEO's grandfather, Jim King. That's a whole lot of calibration!
Did you know... A fingerprint weighs about 50 micrograms. We know, we weighed it! The residue left from a finger can actually make a difference in weight results which is why we wear gloves when we calibrate weights. For reference, a sheet to paper is about 4.5 grams, that’s 4.5 million micrograms.
