Pressure and Vacuum Relief Valves

Cross Company Pressure and Vacuum Relief Valves

As a trusted provider of pressure management equipment, we understand the critical role that relief valves play in maintaining safe operating conditions and preventing potential workplace hazards. Through our extensive product offering, industry-leading technical expertise, and world-class customer service, Cross Process Solutions can be your partner for all your relief valve needs.

Relief valves are critical components in the pressure management systems for a large range of industries. This can include oil and gas, chemical manufacturing, power generation, and many others. These valves are designed to open automatically to relieve excess pressure when a predetermined threshold is exceeded.Through safe discharge of excess pressure, these valves are able to protect equipment from potential damage, prevent catastrophic failure, and increase the safety of both personnel and equipment.

At Cross Company, we offer a wide selection of relief valves from leading manufacturers in the industry. If you need a reliable source for high-quality relief valves, you’ve come to the right place.

Pressure And Vacuum Relief Valves (PVRVs)

Pressure and Vacuum Relief Valves (PVRV’s) are tank protection devices predominantly installed on a nozzle opening at the top of a fixed roof, low pressure (15 psig and lower) storage tank.

Designed and applied per API standard 2000, their primary job is to safely protect your tank against rupture or implosion by letting the tank breathe, or vent, when pressure changes in the tank during standard operating conditions. PVRVs are only used in vapor service and should never be used for liquid relief scenarios.

Our pressure and vacuum relief valves are engineered to provide reliable and precise protection against overpressure and vacuum conditions. We’ll work directly with you to determine the appropriate valve size, material, pressure rating, and connection type to optimize performance and compatibility.

Emergency Relief Valves

Emergency Relief Valves protect tanks against excessive pressure caused by external events outside normal operating procedures such as heat/fire exposure/flashes within the tank. Emergency relief valves provide higher flow capacity than standard pressure and vacuum relief valves. This allows them to release pressure/vacuum rapidly to overcome the quickly increasing pressures due to heat expansion.

These relief valves are critical for protecting equipment, pipelines, and systems from the potential of catastrophic failure. This ensures the safety of both personnel and the surrounding environment. With our expertise in pressure management solutions, we’re able to offer a wide selection of high-quality emergency relief valves to meet the requirements of a wide variety of industries.
