Respiratory Equipment and Escape Hoods

High-Performance Atmospheric Protection

In industrial environments where toxic gases, chemical vapors, or oxygen-deficient atmospheres are a risk, respiratory protection is a necessary part of a personnel safety strategy. Standard filtration is often not enough in situations that are immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDHL). At Cross Company Process Solutions, we provide advanced atmosphere-supplying respirators and rapid-deployment escape hoods engineered to safeguard your team in the most challenging conditions.

By partnering with industry leadering manufacturers, we can provide respiratory solutions able to meet or exceed OSHA, EN, and DIN requirements. Our technical experts work with your safety officers to specify equipment based on contaminant concentration, required duration of use, and specific application challenges, ensuring your facility remains compliant and your personnel remain protected.

Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)

Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)

Designed for emergency response, firefighting, and hazardous material handling in IDLH environments.

Portable Protection – Features a high-pressure air cylinder worn by the user, providing complete mobility.

Rated Duration – Typically available in 30 to 60-minute durations, depending on cylinder size and user exertion rates.

Critical Use – Essential for rescue operations and short-term maintenance where the air source must be carried into the hazard.

Supplied-Air Respirators (SAR)

Ideal for long-duration maintenance or production tasks in contaminated environments that are not considered immediately life-threatening.

Continuous Air Supply – Clean air is delivered via a reinforced hose from a stationary source (compressor or air bank) located outside the hazardous area.

Unlimited Duration – As long as the external source remains available, the user’s air supply is unlimited, allowing for extended work cycles.

Lightweight Profile – Because the air source is not worn, the user benefits from a lower physical profile and reduced fatigue.

Escape Hoods

In the event of an unexpected toxic leak or fire, every second counts. Dräger PARAT® Escape Hoods are designed for rapid donning, providing immediate eye and respiratory protection to enable a safe egress from the danger zone.

High-Performance Filtration – Equipped with ABEK P3 combination filters, these hoods protect against a wide range of toxic industrial gases, vapors, and particulates.

Certified Escape Time – Provides at least 15 minutes of breathable air according to EN 403:2004 and DIN 58647-7 standards.

Intuitive Deployment – Available in hard or soft cases that automatically prime the filter into an operational position as soon as the case is opened.

Security and Maintenance – Features an integrated security seal to indicate if the unit has been tampered with. With a filter replacement every eight years, the total service life of a PARAT unit can extend up to 16 years.
