Cross Announces Addition of New Non-Destructive Testing Capabilities
Cross Precision Measurement’s Testing Division is excited to announce the addition of both X-ray and CT scan imaging for non-destructive parts testing. Lisa Messenger, Testing Division Manager at Cross, said “We are so excited about the ability to offer these new services to our customers. While we’ve primarily focused on the automotive industries in the past, this gives us a strong value proposition for manufacturers of consumer products and medical devices.”
The testing lab located in South Carolina is planning to launch these services in mid-January 2022. These new services will augment their existing testing capabilities which include airbag deployment, environmental, sun simulation, vibration, durability, and more. Messenger went on to say, “This really helps to round out the services that we can provide to manufacturers. X-ray and CT scanning are great options for looking at parts with intricate interior features and parts with internal mating surfaces. This technology allows the customer to see exactly what is going on inside a part without having to cut them open and destroy the product.”
