Product Overview

The Schroeder Industries Sustainable Cartridge Bowl (SCB) is a revolutionary solution for spin-on hydraulic filtration, designed to eliminate waste without sacrificing performance. Unlike traditional spin-on filters where the entire metal housing is discarded during change-outs, the SCB features a patented, reusable housing bowl. This design allows for the replacement of only the coreless filter element, significantly reducing environmental impact and maintenance costs. The SCB utilizes a robust, glass-infused nylon bowl that is engineered to withstand harsh industrial and mobile environments, providing a “green” solution that is also “lean” on your budget.

As a distributor for Schroeder Industries in the U.S., the mobile systems integration group at Cross Company integrates Schroeder filtration technology into a wide range of mobile and industrial machinery. Key Benefits

Sustainability

The SCB system drastically reduces environmental waste, cutting scrap metal disposal by over 90% and reducing hydraulic oil waste by over 80% compared to standard spin-on filters. The coreless elements are crushable and incineration-friendly.

Cost Efficiency

By retaining the reusable housing bowl, you only pay for the replacement element during maintenance. This results in exponential savings over the life of the equipment. Additionally, the initial kit ships with a spare element, meaning the first change-out is already covered.

Superior Performance

The SCB elements feature a higher pleat count and lower pressure drop than conventional filters, offering exceptional dirt-holding capacity and filtration efficiency.

Durability

Tested to extensive industry standards, the SCB housing is impact, leak, and vibration tested (to BS EN 61373) and rated for extreme temperature cycles, ensuring reliability in the toughest conditions.

Key Product Attributes
