A major coal mining company needed to improve their bulk diesel fuel filtration and water removal, for use in their new Tier IV mining equipment.  They use over 1M gallons of fuel annually but found they were experiencing unexpected and excessive downtime in their new equipment.

Schroeder recommended their BDS4 bulk diesel fuel skid, combined with their 2QF5 parallel flow for particulate removal.  These were paired with a TCM-FC and a CSI-B-& for real time contamination monitoring.

The solution improved pre- and post-tank filtration and reduced maintenance on the equipment filters.  Overall, it resulted in $33.4k of savings per year, not including labor savings.  It also boosted machine productivity by 1%, resulting in an additional $480k of annual revenue.
