Case Study: Tailored Chemical

Overview

Founded in 1977, Tailored Chemical Products is a leading mid-sized manufacturer of adhesives based in Hickory, North Carolina. They specialize in manufacturing a full line of hot melts, water-based glues, emulsion polymers, mastics, urea and synthetic resins and other specialty chemicals for any industrial application.

During Covid, Tailored began facing challenges with high demand and labor shortages. This began the search for automating hard to fill positions. After many months of researching the best solutions for the challenge, Jack Temple III, President of Tailored Adhesives, reached out to Cross Automation for a palletizing project. To solve this problem, Cross Automation worked with Tailored Adhesives to seamlessly implement not one but two palletizers within their production line, eliminating hard to fill positions and creating a safer and more efficient environment.
