Misty's Story:

Misty started her career with Cross in the Automation Group in 2017 in Belmont, North Carolina. Though she had no prior industry background, each day Misty enjoyed learning more about the industrial automation industry as a Customer Service Representative. Having such a supportive work environment helped her work through her mistakes and gave her the confidence to continue to grow.

Through her eagerness to learn and build relationships with customers, Misty loved the rush from gaining new customers and had management support to explore this aspect further. In 2019, Misty developed the new role of Business Development Coordinator. In addition to her promotion, she joined the CEOC as an ambassador.

When Covid-19 struck, it was harder to reach out to customers in-person, by phone, and even by email. But this didn’t stop her from doing what she loved. In the beginning of 2022, Misty was promoted to Lead Coordinator/Inside Sales. She has done all of this while working toward her degree in Business Management.

As an Army Veteran who still wanted to be a part of a team that mattered, she chose Cross because of the company culture. “Working for a company that cares for their people and working with people who trust one another is a breath of fresh air. We’re not just in it for ourselves, we’re in it for each other. I appreciate that I can ask for help without hesitation or fear. I love what I do and the friends I’ve made along the way”.
