Cross Company Achieves CSIA Certification

We are pleased to announce that Cross Company Process Control Integration (formally Integrated Systems Group) successfully achieved Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) certification through an external audit.

Attaining CSIA certification is a rigorous process that encompasses all aspect of our operation to help ensure that we deliver first class service to our customers. Certified member status is only conferred upon those companies passing an extensive third-party audit covering nine areas of business execution:

  • General Management
  • Project Management
  • Financial Management
  • Human Resources Management
  • Supporting Activities
  • Quality Assurance Management
  • Marketing, Business Development, and Sales Management
  • System Development Lifecycle
  • Service and Support

After maintaining ISO 9001 certification for over 17 years, the Cross Company management team believes CSIA certification is a better fit as the standard encompasses more areas of our business that are applicable to system integration.

The Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) was founded in 1994 and is the largest organization in North America for control system integrators. CSIA helps members improve their business skills, provides a forum to share industry expertise, and promotes the benefits of hiring a certified control system integrator. CSIA has over 500 member companies in over 40 countries. CSIA member firms, located both in the United States and around the world, provide more than $1 billion annually in industrial automation systems. Members gain the power of the association’s broader presence and its insights into the best business and project management practices. Cross Company has been a CSIA member for over eight years.

American Systems Registrar (ASR) performed the audit to ensure that Cross Company’s Quality Management System met all elements and scope of the certification. There were no significant improvement opportunities identified during the assessment.

Cross Company had been certified to ISO 9001 since 2001 and has replaced the ISO certification with CSIA certification effective February 1, 2018.
