Customized Weight-Based Solutions

Since 1939, our engineering team has been designing customized weighing solutions for industrial manufacturers. Whether you simply need to modify a scale or if you need a completely automated batching system, the engineering team at Cross has your solution. We tailor each solution precisely to your application, taking into account not only capacity and tolerance, but also ergonomics, operator skill, operating environment, maintenance & serviceability, and the ability to calibrate.

Whether you’re weighing boxes of tiny bullets or many trucks weighing many tons, our engineering department can help design a customized industrial weight-based solution for you.

Enhancing Accuracy and Efficiency in Automation

Weight-based solutions have become integral to the automation process of countless industries. Through precise measurement and control capabilities, weight-based solutions are able to deliver tangible value to OEMs and other manufacturers.

Essentially, weight-based solutions play a critical role in industrial automation by providing accurate and reliable measurement of weight or mass. They are particularly important in applications where precise weight measurement is essential for quality control, process optimization, and compliance with industry standards. By leveraging these solutions, manufacturers are able to enhance efficiency, increase accuracy, and increase the overall productivity of automated processes.

Weight-based solutions are applicable in a wide range of industries including pharmaceutical, chemical, food & beverage, logistics, shipping, and industrial manufacturing.

Did you know… Cross Company is an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). Our ESOP started in 1979 and as of 2006, we are 100% employee-owned! Learn more about our ESOP and how that benefits both team members and our customers.
Did you know... the precision measurement group at Cross was founded in 1939 by our current CEO's grandfather, Jim King. That's a whole lot of calibration!
Did you know... A fingerprint weighs about 50 micrograms. We know, we weighed it! The residue left from a finger can actually make a difference in weight results which is why we wear gloves when we calibrate weights. For reference, a sheet of paper is about 4.5 grams, that’s 4.5 million micrograms.
Did you know… Cross Company has grown significantly since our start in 1954. Over the years we've acquired 26 companies! Today, our five groups have expertise in everything from industrial automation to precision measurement, and industry knowledge going all the way back to 1939.
