Case Study: Polymer Delivery System at a WWTP

Utilizing FLEXIM flow equipment, a North Florida wastewater treatment plant was able to get reliable and accurate flow measurement of polymer, despite pulsating flow and very low velocity.

Polymer is a flocculant and is necessary in waste water treatment, as it greatly reduces sludge volume in the process.  JEA, based in Jacksonville, Florida, needed accurate, actual flow measurement but had flow as low as 0.02 ft/sec.  A variety of Flexim meters were trialed and the XLF version was selected, due to the ability to handle very low velocity.

Cross Company can work with your team to implement a polymer delivery system for your WWTP process. Contact our flow and safety technologies team to discuss your application and learn more about other FLEXIM products offered by Cross company.
