Originally formed as Compression Rheostat Company, and later re-incorporated as Allen-Bradley, the success of many inventions and products dedicated to communication components helped them become leaders in the industrial world. By 1995, the company had shipped over one million PLCs and in 2001, was officially renamed Rockwell Automation.
